The Padres play the Cleveland Guardians today and that’s weird on a couple of different levels:


It’s an interleague game, which I still think is an abomination in the eyes of the gods, and

The Guardians? How the hell did anyone think that was a good name for a baseball club?

Interleague play is an abomination before the Lords of Baseball and should be proscribed.
The Designate Hitter is an abomination before the Lords of Baseball and should be proscribed.
The Cleveland Guardians... of the highway bridge? really?... are an abomination before the Lords of Baseball and should be proscribed.
