I looked up some Virginia distilleries for this years Sol Revolution Celebration. Interesting because last week I was looking for distilled spirits from Virginia at our local liquor dispensary. Many of the distilleries are still very young and an 18 month old whiskey, while very tasty, can still kick like 4 mules.
I've selected these for the both their reputation and their age.
Sip gingerly. This is about the closest thing we have to Scottish here stateside and a most happiest natal anniversary :)

Thanks for the well wishes! Although I'm not allowed alcohol since the stroke, I did manage to have an enjoyable and relaxing day. Highlight of the day was spending the afternoon with my son & grandson. My grandson's birthday is the 9th, so we celebrate both birthdays together. He just turned 7 and is delightful to spend time with!

Happy creation day 9 months and 2 days late, but better late than never, ay? A little Chinese rubbed off on me from some great friends, their birthdays are the day of conception. So why do we celebrate the day we caused our mothers so much pain? Things that make you go hmmm.
