I'm sitting here at work and my freaking hip is just throbbing away in pain.

800mg of ibuprofen won't even touch it.

In 4 hours I'm going to crawl into bed with my wife and the dogs and just weep.

Thank you... that is all.

My worst case of kidney stones started with pain in the hip that spread to my sides. Side of torso and side of thigh.
Nothing would touch it for pain. NOTHING.

My complaints are useless, since they're all Extra complaints.

But I hope you can resolve this soon Michael. Pain is no bueno.

My honey had that last year and I thought she was going off to the next plane. She said those stones hurt worse than anything to do with her cancer treatments, which said a lot. I hope you found resolution sooner than later bro. Yikes!

Hip stones? Call me Mister Obvious, but you need a doctor to start the ball rolling in the right direction. Meanwhile lay off the ibuprofen before like I did you get stomach ulcers. I had 3, 1 bleeding they zapped with a laser, then for months I had to take an antacid before every meal. That was no fun either, that big glomper was hard to swallow.

I empathize with your pain, some years ago I developed carpel tunnel syndrome, the night pain that woke me was unbearable. It felt like I had both arms in boiling water up to my shoulders, instead of sleeping I sat on the edge of the bed and cried. Hand braces did no good, I went through days like a sleep deprived zombie until a surgeon cut the cartilage band, the carpel tunnel in my wrists each in turn. Driving a car with one hand with the other bound looking like a football is lots of fun, especially with a manual transmission.

Sorry OM, but all I can say is feel better, you will when it gets proper treatment, and pain killers are not the answer.
