His widow asked me to sell the equipment for my friend PA3NGK who passed last year at 56.
Been working hard the last 6 weeks to sell the FT 9000 cntest Ameritron AL 80 B and lots more stuff, for decent prices.
It is a 60 mile drive to her, most is too heavy to bring over so sales go from her place and i'll be there with every sale.
Antenna's came down, sad to do such things, breaking up your friends station.
Realizing my own mortality i already arranged my stuff to be sold by a good friend when i pass away hopefully far in the future.
Same for the sport guns, ammo etc.
I bet i'm getting old when this kind of bad stuff happens.
160 meters got a bit more dull with his loss.
Sorry to bother you all, just had to get it off my chest.:icon_sad:

Been there; done that too many times. Hopefully, a new generation of hams will enjoy your friend's equipment and it will inspire them to great things in the hobby.

Sad for your loss Cor. A sign of things to come for all of us I'm afraid.

I know I had my awakening at nearly 55, so it does happen.

Best of luck with your sales and thanks for being such a good friend.

Karma is a two edged sword, good is returned 7 times making the circle complete. Evil returns 10 times, so it pays to do good always whenever opportunity presents itself, never let it pass. Remember this always, never let ill feelings take the place of the good, such is not healthy, mental and physical are closely linked.
