Funny, it wasn't when I installed it and last used it!

I have a DVR Server with 4 TV Tuners in it using a software called, "BeyondTV", it allows me to record OTA broadcasts and certain cable feeds. The program has a client called BTV-Link which allows you to connect to the server and, watch streamed video both live and recorded.

Works great on my Vista machines (which I am trying to retire), my Win 7 machine and, worked on my Win 10 Laptop until yesterday. I fiddled around with the settings of the program on the laptop and, finally decided to uninstall it and do a re-install. Re-installed failed as, "Incompatible Program".

I do a "System Restore" to yesterday before I did the uninstall.
System Restore takes forever
Machine resets into a "Sky-Blue-Screen-of-something-went wrong"
Boot loops to "Sky-Blue screen" until I power off
Turned back on, auto-boots to "Sky-Blue" Sophisticated Recovery Screen
I do "System Restore" again, this time is successful but, program will not execute.
Try to do Re-install and I am "Blocked by Administrator"

Pissed.

To get around this aggravation, search for "Command Prompt" in your programs, when found, Right click and "Run as Administrator".

In the black CMD PMT window, navigate to the location of the file you want to execute and, run it from the command line.

Program was re-installed without effort but, still having problems streaming MPEG-2 Transport Stream files on home network to Win 10 Laptop; think it might have something to do with an update to Win 10 recently.

Have you tried running it in game mode?

https://www.pcworld.com/article/3194510/windows/how-to-activate-game-mode-in-the-windows-10-creators-update.html

Now that you can at least get the program going, try it in game mode to free up resources from the OS.

Nope, that didn't make any difference.

It"s a Windows 10 thing specific to MPEG-2 Transport Stream files .

I take that back, it's specific to this laptop, a Dell 5000 series laptop.

I loaded the program on a Toshiba C-55 and, I have no problems with the video.

The Dell is Touch-screen so, maybe that has something to do with it.

Some people amuse themselves with Jig-saw puzzles; I spend my spare time trying to make these things do what I want them to do.
