VA7BCR missing

I am saddened to report of the disappearance of Dan Borthwick VA7BCR,an Island member,who possibly fell overboard from his Zodiac on Wednesday, November 22. As I write this there has been no trace of him anywhere in the search carried out by local officials.

If I hear anything more I will report here to this thread, I am hoping for the best but,well you know........

Seems they are using a lot of resources to try to locate him. Here's hoping they find him wet but well.

I am saddened to report that Dan Bortwick VA7BCR is no longer missing,but he is now an SK. His body was found washed up on a North Saanich beach after presumably falling overboard 3 days earlier.....

I had met Dan several times,the last time was at the last Field Day event put on by one of the local Amateur Radio groups held on one of the parking lots of the local mall...... simply tragic! :icon_sad:
