Not that I could vote, but I'd go with Riley any day.

Quite a few years ago, I was ragchewing on 3840, long before it became a cesspool. Art Bell had been in and out, those that could were goofing with a little ESSB...Pegasus was my main rig then. Riley showed up, and complimented the group for being fun, and knowing what we were doing with good audio. Dove right in talking about cool microphones, and older radios that could be made to sound great. He's witty, smart, and gives a shit about ham radio.

After that appointment maybe make him emperor of all ham radio related.

Seriously. Then maybe the shit would finally get wiped off the ass of ham radio and the rash could heal.

the other guy that's running for that post sent a campaign email to everyone who might vote for him ... i don't think he has a snowball's chance in hell.

Riley is a good man. I think I worked him on 75 meter AM one day.

K3QNT has also placed ads on QRZ and eHam. He's been out at hamfests pressing the flesh.

I talked with him briefly at the Butler Co ARA swapfest last month. To be perfectly honest... he did not leave me with a favorable impression.

To be blunt... he came across as a horse's ass.

I've talked with Riley on the phone in the past, back before he retired, dealing with an enforcement issue. I've also met him in person a few times. Despite the fact that he is (or was) a lawyer, and worked for the FCC... he always struck me as honest, trustworthy, and a straight shooter.

Your vote is ultimately your decision.

My ballot went out in the mail the day after it arrived.

I voted for Riley without hesitation.

mine did too.

today i (and i guess many of you) got an email from riley. nailed it (although he won't be in a position to do what he was doing, he *knows how it is done* which is often 90%+ of the battle ...
