Updated Fedora (25) over the weekend to kernel 4.11.12-200 and my hdmi port stopped working.
The monitor detects when it's plugged and unplugged so I assume the port is sending something.... just no signal and the Gnome settings only see the built-in display.
Checked the monitor and cable with another computer and works fine.
I figure it was a driver issue? However, beyond that... looking for suggestions.

Thanks.

Dan.

Had to reboot the machine again, earlier today rolled back to the oldest kernel available (4.7), display issue wasn't there so rebooted again walking up through the other kernels (4.10 & 12) with success in each one.

Had tried a reboot into 4.11.10 when I first noticed the issue earlier, but was not successful at that time.

No clue what happened, but it's working for now...

Now where did I set that drink?

I call those types of episodes "phantom glitches".
