Is a folded vertical a thing and how can it be used?
I was considering designing a ground mounted vertical for experimentation and possible FD deployment.
Basically a vertical run that goes up and then comes back down 3/4 of the length to termination. The usual array of radials would apply except for FD where it would be more like a single long run, perhaps improvising nearby metal like a fence or a camper.

I'm getting back results of folded dipoles in a vertical vector.

Yea. Folded dipoles are kind of Meh.
The best FD portable vertical I ever made was a single bander... a 20 meter vertical Moxon.
Maybe this? (http://www.qsl.net/ei7ba/low_band_antennae.htm) I've wanted to try it out sometime...

Thanks. Yeah, good with proper support.
So that's the vector Victor?

60' timber mast?? Good luck with that unless you have a huge lot or a nice, tall pine tree.

Black walnut.
With support rope(s)... Shorten the vertical parts, lengthen the horizontal, it will still work.

Yeah, I think I'm already there on that.

There's a sale at Penney's!
The antenna you're looking for is known as a "trombone".
