NASA has announced the discovery of seven Earth-sized planets orbiting the star Trappist-1, 39 light years from Earth. Three of them are in the habitable zone.

I was at a small social at my parents house and mentioned something about the National Space Center in Leicester. A girl pipes up and says
"oh I love taking my son there, he loves it, I just find it amusing because I don't believe in space." I looked at her dumbfounded and asked if she meant she didn't believe in investing money in space exploration. No, she did not believe in space. She simply did not believe that anything existed above the sky, that pictures and videos were all fake an d that all space agencies and anyone who claimed to have been to space was lying. The other girls in the group started nodding in agreement saying things like "Now that you mention it, I've never really seen space".
I just went home.

I really hope they can confirm there is intelligent life on one or more of these planets before I die, and they look nothing like us. I want to see how it affects religion and all the religions fanatics. However, in order for me to witness all this, NASA better get cracking. It's not like I'm in my teens ya know.

4 1/2 from here to Sanford NC.
8 1/4 hours to the Outer Banks.
11 Hours Ft. Lauderdale FL but on the way back from Key West, traffic was so bad it took 20 hours.

I'd love to make a trip down Bama ways for a change of scenery but that scenery may just be the inside of a gimp mask.

If I ever get to the Outer Banks again I'm just gonna hit 64E and keep driving until I hit the beach road.
