Pre 1945 . The Westinghouse Little Jewel. If you bought a new frig, the dealer gave you one of these frig radios free.

I love the old wood and art deco bakelite radios. I started to collect them awhile back, but didn't keep up with it and the prices went wacko. I ended up selling all but a few, and kept two floor radios and one farm radio.

Good! Did you give it the OSHA "tongue test," where you touch your tongue to the chassis to make sure it's not hot?

You didn't mention his foot on the cold water pipe at the same time.

You know-Philco made a series of "refrigerator radios" that had a curved bottom that would fit the curved top of Philco refrigerators. And around 1930 Majestic made a radio that was housed in the top of their fridge. Ah the things we made radios do.

Now if you didn't specify that was a radio I would have sworn it is an old electric heater.
