podcasts we like (for ham radio)?

i finally have headphones that don't suck (beats wireless ... they were expensive when on sale for half off!) and am finally set up to enjoy podcasts ... ideally, i'm looking for actual podcasts (as opposed to youtube shows) that i can load up on when connected with wifi ... don't want to use mobile data even though it's cheap enough).

i've already got the two ARRL podcasts (i honestly listen to "the doctor is in" because i had joel hallas as a professor at rit, and he's a very good teacher).

I dislike all of them except for Tamitha Skov- who is really a space weather expert.

And I'll tell you why I dislike them so much:

Most of them are about the bonfire of "ham egos", ghetto fame, and commercialism.

The funny thing about the "commercialism" angle is that there is practically no cost associated with doing even a video podcast. You need a computer, about 5Mb upstream if you do a live show, a handful of skype accounts, Voicemeeter Banana, and an Xsplit license for like $49.00 YEAR.

Some of these shows gross thousands in ad revenue.

Plus their subject matter is useless- I love Joe Walsh... but one interview on the subject is enough. Heil Microphones.... let's do another with Bob Heil.

Not one podcast I've seen is about what hams are doing now, this week, their successes and failures, the funny things, the sad things. No podcast really promotes the hobby as most hams do it. The growth of a person's skills. What they've learned. It's all mired in ego and politics.

Instead we get a few documented ISS contacts, a bunch of commercialism, and a huge echo chamber.

100 Watts and a Wire is pretty good, IMHO.

My favorite podcasts come from NormanGoldman.com

And I've heard some great stuff from Kelli.
