Here is a short video of my 90+ year Crosley Pup ,one tube radio. The tube is a UX201A. I'm using a 6 volt lantern battery for the filament, and Hewlett Packard variable voltage B+ supply, set at 45 volts for the plate. Instead of headphones, I use a pair of computer speakers. The antenna is my 40/75 meter inverted vee.

Why does that tube sound familiar? I vaguely recall seeing a construction article or two for a receiver which uses it in some of the older electronics magazines I've read.

Let's see a new YaeKenCom transceiver still in operation in the year 2100. But to their credit, that Crosley isn't computer controllable.

I saw it on FB too. :)It really is much better tube than the WD11 that came with the Pup. A lot cheaper price too.
