Hi guys,

Well, I through caution to the wind and decided to go ahead and make video content for the hobby. You'll find it non-pretentious. With minimal glossy production- but excellent video quality.

Meanwhile in the Ham Shack is a video podcast devoted to informing, educating, and inspiring new hams or those considering becoming licensed.

In this episode, an amateur radio contact is made with a station in Tasmania, Australia.

A total distance of 9762 miles- made with 25 watts (less power than a standard light bulb).

Never got into Olivia. Maybe some day.

I'm still working on doing things like working Australia (Long Path) on 80m with 35 watts on JT65. He was just coming into daylight, and I had about an hour to go before local sunset.

Well the next one I'm working on will be setting up a PC for digital modes (for certain). Followed by a bunch of vids on Digital modes (probable).
