I understand, like it or not, the BBC are bringing back "Are You Being Served" with all the same characters, played by different actors. This is the chance to catch up on the progress of Mrs Slocombe's pussy. Goodness knows if the scripts will be repeats but was this a good idea?

Problem is with these rehashes of an original it will never be as good as with the original players, which we ( me) all saw.

Your mind expects the original players to perform, anyone else is a disappointment.

I'd rather see a re run of the original series.

I never much liked the first version, so…

I draw your attention to the movie just put out "Absolutely Fabulous". Same actors but not as good as the BBC show it came from. I will watch at least a few episodes just to be sure but they will not have the same chemistry as the original.

I for one will watch a newer version of Being Served. Love that show, Ms. Slocum's pussy, Captain Peacock's pompousness, Ms. Brahms cockney slurs. Hope they can pull it off.

I would also like to see a remake of Keeping up Appearences.

I believe I've seen one or two episodes at some point during my rich and colourful life but I'm pretty sure that Eddie is in need of being serviced.

The new show will be fine, as it will ride up with wear. ;)

I always preferred "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin" and "Black Adder".
