After four years of being in Spain Pilar and I finally made it to the states. We had to wait two years after being married before starting our paperwork and it took about two years to get through everything. Yesterday was the big 18 hour trip across the pond to come back and I tell you it sure was interesting. However all went well even though there were opportunities for it to go bad. Pili made it through immigration, customs, re-check and TSA without a hitch. I on the other hand got screened by the TSA and that would not have been an issue if they were not total dicks about the way they did it. In the end no harm done, I didn't get pissy with them so it went smoothly but they sure are not personable people.

Anyway Pili has her temp Green card which is good for 1 year but the actual green card will come in the mail (could take 1-3 months) and it will be good for either 2 years or 10 years from what I understand. However she got full residency with no limitations so I think it should be 10 years but we will see when she gets it.

Anyway, I figured I would update everyone. I am home and will be going to breeze shooters so I will see some of you there!

I literally didn't know you were gone, mainly because I have been totally away from here and the hobby for years taking care of sick and dying parents, working a full time job and the stress of it all especially since they never liked me and vice versa , and now that they are gone it's a whole new stress dumped on my head regarding getting fucked over in the will and having to find a new place to live being complicated with financial roadblocks so the house I am in can be sold off since it wasn't left to me, this hell just never ends for me. But welcome back and congrats on your marriage!

Make sure she doesn't look back, less she turns into a Pilar of salt.

Or, worse, a vegetable Pilar.

Trav,

Never saw you at Breezeshooters this morning. If you went, and considering the weather, if you skipped it, I don't blame you.

Crowd was WAY down. If the flea market was 20% of last year's, I'd be shocked; yeah, it was that bad. Don't know if it was because of the change of venue, the bad weather, or both. Not good for the 'fest.

Yeah, sorry about that. I got out of bed late and it was crappy outside so I just rolled over. My grandpa did go and gave the same report, bad weather and turnout.

To be honest, if I hadn't been committed... let me rephrase that... If I hadn't already agreed to co-host the picnic and so forth, I wouldn't have gone either. At least we had enough sunshine late afternoon for the 10x10 canopy cover to dry out before I put it away, but it's no fun driving home with one of those damp.

I'll catch up to you at one of the next ones. North Hills is July 16th, but that's usually the same weekend at the Vintage Grand Prix.

It is a shame though as it used to be a good fest. Anyway, is North Hills the one at the library?

Well, it used to be. The Library got a new Board, and the NHARC was no longer welcome. I think they're at a church now, and it's a Saturday 'fest.
