I had to set up a "Development Environment", a webserver running MYSQL, Apache and PHP.

Anyone?

Oh I'm familiar with it alright, the sound is always followed with the thought "It must have been something I ate." (;->)

Xoops, the CMS?

I've heard of it. Swapped out a couple of deployments for Wordpress. Nothing much more.

Yup, the Content Management System and, I have heard of it being problematic when it comes to Wordpress. I recently started working with one of the developers at Xoops.org.

Seems to work well with plug-in content modules but, I don't (yet) have the flexibility to incorporate my own creativity into the site design.

Tabbed browser works great when configuring, one tab for the front end and, a tab for configuring the back-office part; make changes and refresh the front tab to see if it's OK, if not, you can go to you back office tab and make the changes you need.

Just something else to do.
