I need to get to work on the brakes on the Motorhome but with it still in the 20's and my air over hydraulic jack frozen I am stuck waiting. If it does not free up soon I may have to find my old bottle jack. crawling under this thing on cold concrete is not on my favorite thing to do list.

The WX here has been colder than usual and I think the WX forecasters got it wrong when saying that it was supposed to be above average for lack of winter precip and warmer than normal temps. Feels like I am back in Nebraska with all this snow and freezing cold.

I just got done airing up my car tires...TPMS was complaining about the super-cold temps, even though the pressure in all tires is within a couple pounds of "optimal". It was a balmy 12 degrees but at least the sun was out - and that helped a bit.

I just finished replacing the Front Calipers and brake pads on the front of the Motorhome except for the bleeding of the brakes. It got up to 45 this afternoon and my jack defrosted. I will let them gravity bleed tomorrow when I am replacing the generator starter bracket and installing the manual choke. the better half will help me with the final bleed tomorrow after she gets home from work. It is supposed to be a little warmer tomorrow.

Right front apart. Had to repack and set the bearing torque. Springs underneath are part of a steering stabilizer.

Surface rust from sitting more than it is driven. A little work with a scotch brite bad will clean them right up.

Temps have been fluctuating here a great deal. First record highs on Christmas. Then seasonable. Last week we hit a low of 8 deg F overnight. Then a few days latter upper 50's with rain. Now much colder but nothing extreme. Low 30's by day 20's overnight. No snow at all yet. Every time a storm comes through the temps warm way up and it materializes as rain. Then after the storm passes we go back to clear but seasonable winter temps. So far this is about the mildest winter we've had in a while. Probably has to do with the "super el' nino" screwing around with the weather.

Been cool in the mornings here, In the 20's. Christmas we also had record highs. Had to wait until this afternoon to caulk the rear window of the RV. 54 was just warm enough for the caulk to work. Also got a manual choke on the engine, replaced the propane cut off valve, replaced the rear view camera, and got the propane tank filled for the trip this weekend. The stove and fridge will now work again...
