Yep, the magazine that could be found under most school boy's beds in the pre internet porn days is going non-nude. If the provocative edge doesn't return, I don't see this mag lasting very long. From what I understand, most boys are bored with on line hard core porn by age 12. The times they are a changing....

The onslaught of Internet pornography has made the nude images in Playboy "passé," Scott Flanders, the company's chief executive, told the New York Times. (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/13/business/media/nudes-are-old-news-at-playboy.html?_r=0)

"That battle has been fought and won," Flanders told the newspaper. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free."

Playboy's circulation at it's peak was just under 6 million copies a month. Now it's around 800,000.

Those articles better be damned well good ones.

Otherwise, they're gone in no more than a year. Maybe 6 months. IMHO, of course.

I've never read Playboy for any other reason. It was just SoCal's high humidity that caused the pages to get stuck together.

Many, many, many years ago, as a birthday gag gift, some friends got me a subscription to Penthouse. (Well, at least it wasn't Hustler.) My GF at the time, now the ex, was appalled. She was so upset over it that the friends apologized to her; that never satisfied her. So what she did (once) was grab the magazine while I was doing something else, and use a black marker to censor all the "naughty bits". (After that, the mail was never left sitting around where she could see it. Especially the magazines! She did the same thing to my copy of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue; looking back now, I wonder why I kept dating her, considering her attitude. But that's another story. )

..."You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free."

If this was only the case - if sites like Ashley Madison, OKHookup and AFF actually DID have membership parity and no membots...the 'Net would be a happier place.

Although you won't find nudity, the NEW Playboy magazine will feature monthly columns like: "Handy Tips", by former Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders.

I never had to hide my favorite titty magazine under the bed. Among the other magazines on the living room coffee table was... National Geographic. Around that time as if by coincidence a well named Rolling Stones album came out, Sticky Fingers.

I guess the Internet killed the Playboy star.
