Just curious if any of you know (or know of) bass player Steve York. Originally from London, he has been performing since the 60's. I bump into him occasionally at our favorite beach bar, when I'm staying in Puerto Vallarta. He and his wife Lisa often play gigs around town. Anyway, just a curious question.

Over the years, Steve has performed and/or recorded with many of the big-name artists of the U.K. and U.S. ( http://www.steveyork.com/biography.htm )

Hint: He is the white guy in this photo. :)

Yes, I remember him. I was a music dork and soundman for a few bands in the Minneapolis area, Steve was sought after. He did a lot of work with Bruce McCabe. He's a damn good player, and very versatile.

Never worked for any of the gigs he played in. But I sure enjoyed them.

Wow, a small world! I remember Steve saying that they moved to Puerto Vallarta, from Minneapolis.

Pretty cool. The Minneapolis Music Scene was/is vibrant and wonderful.

I love living in Colorado, but miss the amazing music from the "homeland".

I've heard of Bruce McCabe. I wonder why I have never heard of someone with those credentials. I have not gotten too far away from the ohio music scene.

I saw Bruce the most with Lamont Cranston. OMG, what a great band!

It just wouldn't be a drive down Route 66 without seeing BNSF locos in War Bonnet livery with a half repainted Santa Fe leftover behind them!
