So, has anyone heard from Ren lately?

I've been reminded of W3BNY several times over the last 2 days.

Walking home last night, saw a few folks wearing Anthrocon 2014 t-shirts.

Picture in the paper of two Furrys from EU up on one of the Mt. Washington overlooks.

And this morning, a Furry in full costume was in line ahead of me at the bagel shop. (How he... at least, I think it's a he... can eat a bagel while wearing that head piece might have proved interesting to watch, but I didn't want to be late for work)

And the event doesn't even officially start until Thursday.

Going to be an interesting week around here...

You think it's gonna be interesting there? Well, Comic Con 2015 starts tomorrow, so things are gonna get downright weird around here.

Speaking of weird, do I need to get my eyes checked, or has His Holey-ness lost a letter in his call?

Congrats for being the first one to spot my new call sign, which became official yesterday. I liked my old call except for that damned "J". It was slow to send in code and people always had a hard time picking it out on phone when band conditions were less than ideal.

It was me.

I stole the letter. :snicker:

It was me.

I stole the letter. :snicker:Since you confessed, your penance is a 400 - 600 W HF linear amplifier with 160 capability, sent to my QTH.

(Well, it was worth a try, anyway)

Meanwhile, somewhere in Colorado...

This morning, the Brugger's employees were all wearing bunny ears. Except for the one assistant manager who was wearing what looked like a Pokemon hoodie.

This is their management's way of making the Furry visitors feel welcome.

I think I'll skip my morning bagel tomorrow.

Ya know, I had no idea there was such a convention (or a lifestyle/hobby) of this sort. I knew I liked this place for a reason.. I learn something new everyday.

More power to them (even though I think it is a little weird, but I have my own weird hobbies.. like lockpicking.. :wtf: )

Pick lox? Sure. I prefer the Nova (Scotia) lox, well smoked, of course...

So, Little Miss Field Day was at the local iteration of the annual Warp Tour concert yesterday... and she came home soaking wet, tired, but happy, as the weather was lousy... (but she survived, intact, and so did my car... )

Appears that the Furries were in full force there, as well. Some just wearing ears and tails, a few in full costume.

They're in full force around the Westin around lunch time, I am told. Well, I do need to get a few things for lunch today...

Split a bagel, one half with smoked salmon and the other half with cream cheese. My idea of the perfect breakfast.

I think I was the "Anti-Furry" as a kid. My father bought me a Woolrich coat and hat with ear flaps, just for hunting. My mother immediately got the bright idea I could wear said coat and hat to school on the cold days. Yes, I became forever known as an Elmer Fudder

Not quite. Needs a little lettuce, tomato & onion on the bagel as well. Then it's perfect.

Jason N8XEOne of mine, too.

I have to be cautious at Bruegger's, though. If I don't stop them, for some strange reason, they put capers on the cream cheese. Ugh. Even had one kid once lecture me that "this is supposed to be the way you eat lox & cream cheese on a bagel!" Like hell it is!

Give me the bird's-eye lowdown on that caper, whatever the hell that means.

'Taint nothing but the young tender flower buds of the Flinders Rose.

Rarely fresh, usually pickled.

And for a milder thing, the berries. Seen in Mediterranean salads, and stuff.

I think capers (and the berries) are tasty.
