Those are made to install those $640 toilet seats the Navy bought awhile back. Just tighten until your nuts are flush.

The older ones are actually surprisingly expensive these days (Made by Petersen or Dewitt).

The Irwin-made Chinese ones are hideous...

I bet the gold flashing is is scarcely a few molecules thick just like some bathroom fittings..

Bah! I've bent my Chinese-made Irwin visegrips so dug out my original British Mole Grips, I wonder whose patent it was and why Mole grips went out of production?

As long as the Mole didn't end up on the King Dick.

The cheap ones are a pain in the ass, and always break or twist and bend out of shape when I use them. Fortunately, I ended up with a whole bunch of different sizes and sizes from my wife's store when they closed it down. They are all American made, sturdy, and take a lot of hard use. At the time Cooper Group owned the line, but later Irwin ended up with them and they were never the same.

I have quite a few old US handtools and they'll last for ever. People made fun of them because they don't look fashionable but they've already outlasted their flashy far-eastern counterparts purchased by those who mocked them.

I agree. I oftenfind old tools at garage sales and such that are older than I am. Who Gnu? I figure if they've lasted thislong, they will last me the rest of my time.
Many of my older vice grips were made way before they put the quick release lever on them. They aren't as convenient as the with the quick release, but you just can't kill them.

You're finding stone tools at garage sales?

I actually restrained myself from commenting on this but you just had to draw me into it. Personally I think stone tools weren't invented when you were going to garage sales. More like jaw bones and teeth.

I sure wish I had some tools made from your jaw bones and teeth.
