Yet Another Mobil Antenna. Someone tell this scientist that base-loaded vertical antennas (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-32033766) aren't as efficient as top-loaded. And where's the ground plane?

Some sort of SMT component with "a specially designed aerial" piece of wire soldered to one end? You call that an RFID chip? Now THIS, is an RFID chip!

The bee is also carrying a 120 Amp-hour lead acid battery. It's out of the photograph, on a tether.
