Well, a great big shit-fuck. That just ruined my day. The guy was terrific, and will be greatly missed. At least he and Scotty and Bones are back together.

RIP and LL&P

ETA And I think Nurse Chapel , who was married to Roddenberry, has also passed.

"Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... human" - Kirk, delivering Spock's eulogy in "The Wrath of Kahn".

He was great. The redux of Star Trek will be a can't miss experience. Wonder if they'll send him in a capsule out into space.

As some of you may remember, Little Miss Field Day's in the High School Musical again this year. The musical they're doing? Return to the Forbidden Planet.

Her role? Character's name is Bosun. The First Officer.

She told me that she's already planning on incorporating little "reminders" of Spock into her performance, as a tribute.

Meanwhile, since the Boss & I are running concessions, I just ordered a Star Trek (movie) uniform shirt, to wear while we're working. Blue, of course. With command stripes.

Even on Mission Impossible, there was Saurian Brandy.

May he and the Red Shirts now enjoy it together.

Poor redshirts. If there was a salt sucking shape shifter within a system the redshirts would find it the hard way. Even the white rhino gorilla got one!

Sarah has to wear a red shirt at the plant.

I told her to up her life insurance.

i was concerned this might happen after hearing the news earlier in the week (that he had been admitted to the hospital). at least he got to cross over at home.

the white house seems to have gotten this right. (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2015/02/27/statement-president-passing-leonard-nimoy)

I was discussing his passing with a friend over a bottle of wine last evening.

"I feel so old now..."

RIP, First Officer - and thanks for the many enjoyable memories.

When it ST was broadcast late on a school night, my parents would not allow me to stay up to watch it. They would not watch it, so I would not have seen it anyway. Reruns was when I became a fan, LL&P Paris!

Being such a hot topic I come in late, better late than never.

Live long and prosper is a blessing the rabbi gives the congregation as they leave the temple. How very appropriate Mr. Nimoy/Spock used it, he lived long and prospered, now he has left the temple and the starship Enterprise has taken him home after a voyage extended far beyond the five year mission.

He was my favorite one on there. I also was a big fan of In Search Of as a kid, i loved the theme song.

I still have my autographed Nimoy 8x10....you can say that he definately lived long and certainly prospered!

Except for this one: https://forums.hamisland.net/showthread.php/28831-RIP-Mr-Spock

Well, its not exactly about Mr. Spock specifically, but he is included in it.

I loved Spock's character the most and I will miss Leonard Nimoy as much as my youth . I use to have a studio prop communicator (with Spock's voice) and a phaser.
Now I guess I have to hope that William Shatner lives a longer life and continues to prosper (get fat!). Score one for fat people.

I not only remember Nimoy from his famous and typecasting role as "Mr. Spock" but from the many appearances he made on so many TV shows from the 1950'd and early 60's. He was on at least a few episodes of Sea Hunt., at least 2 episodes of M-Squad as well as dozens of other shows.

P.S. During the early 1970's he also was a regular on Mission Impossible where he played a secret agent named "Paris".
