there's definitely good chinese food to be had here. it's not necessarily in the places you'd expect (for instance, not chinatown, which is very tourist-oriented). instead, go out to the avenues ...

My personal favourites are the melamine mint candies that are imported direct from China...... the candies with that genuine kitchen counter flavour! ummmmmm so good! :yuck:

The funny part is that Rice-A-Roni has nothing to do with San Francisco any longer, and hasn't in years. It's now manufactured by Pepsico.

I think that most Chinese restaurants in NYC/Boston are as good as anywhere else. Sometimes better. Never saw a Chinese restaurant in Montreal though... and I didn't have the guts to try one in Washington DC.
