My xyl and I decided that the tent camping was getting old and it was time to step up to a camper trailer or an RV. After searching around and looking at some real junk we came across a 1976 Dodge Travco 270 needing some interior work. We went and looked and bought it on the spot after a test drive.
The 440 industrial engine runs good (needs a tune up) and the transmission shifts very well.

I like it! I'd own that in a minute. It would be a great mobile shack. Throw some wire in a tree and you have everything you need!

Aww c'mon Steve.

"Whatever you do, don't get stranded in outer space. Remember, in space, no one can string a wire in a tree."

I picked it up for $2000. I figured six fairly new tires and the spare were worth most of that....

Fiberglass body on a steel skeleton. The main body is just two pieces, left and right.

They started rolling them off the assebly line in 63. It probably was a 50's design.
