How do you like that IC-7200? I'm not a fan of Icom, but it looks like you could drop the danged thing off the roof and not harm it.

Mines a real workhorse! I love the usb port in the back. Saved me from having to buy a signalink.

When I'm using ssb, the twin passband is AWESOME! The other filters are quite cool. I can set them from 3.6khz wide down to 1.8khz narrow. The manual notch filter works like a champ too! I can notch out just about any signals out of my receiver.

I pulled TX7G on 12m ssb out of high noise conditions with it. Couldn't have heard them otherwise without all the filtering and dsp options. . They were buried in the noise floor and i managed to filter out their signal to get the contact.

All in all, i think its a good radio with quite a few useful options in a simple intuitive package if you're a moderately experienced ham.

I dont have much experience with other brands so my opinion is probably a little biased/ uninformed comparatively.

I got an ic-7200 a month ago. First rig I've had with dsp filtering. Startling, to say the least.

I (relatively) recently picked up an IC-746PRO, my first rig with DSP. Suddenly, I can do SSB phone even here in RF-noisy SoCal.

Based on the page at United Radio discussing the situation, I don't think she was robust enough for the t shirt.

Have DSP in a few rigs. Some IF, some audio DSP. Having both available is the best, and I do have a couple of external audio DSP units. It's nice to run both.

However the DSP in my Ten Tec Pegasus and Flex 3000 are the best... add the Clearspeech outboard (AF) DSP and the only thing it won't fix is loud lightning noise.

When i saw the pic the 1st time on my iphone, i thought she was a updated younger blonde version of Maryanne. Got my ticker ticking a bit more than usual

Kinky!

I was just sitting here waiting for that monotone announcer that voices over medical commercials to state the side effects of trying both at once.
