a few weeks ago i left my hoodie at the va canteen. along with my housekeys (what a pain!), i lost a small pocket am/fm radio. it had a speaker, but i used it with headphones. it had the tuning switch so i could easily use it abroad, drew in a local station that's not the strongest, and it was about the size of a large pack of gum.
of course, radio shack doesn't do these anymore, and anything remotely similar has had wX added to it and costs at least 2x as much. so: i'm whining.
oddly, the ipod nano would do most of what i need in the right form factor ... it doesn't do AM, though, and the price tag is 7x what i'd like to spend.
