Visit Beautiful Dixon, IL

There are so many things to see and do in Dixon. I live in the area and let me tell you about her.

We have the arch. Well, you cant go up inside it, but it is cool to look at anyway. When the letter "X" goes out, it says "DI ON". That is really cool.

A real must see is the boyhood home of some Hollywood "B" movie actor. Okay. Well I have never been down that street, but people say it is cool. I have been a block away at the Hardees wolfing down a burger. Mmmm.

We have legs hanging around as well.

There are many statues of Lincoln, but this is soldier Lincoln when he was fighting the Indians.

The sword is really cool.

There are events happening all the time like this weekend is the coin show where you can see sell and trade... coins. Yeah.

I am married to the area now but you can come and visit and go as you please. Kinda like a girlfriend.

Come again and again.

I was there this week and saw that they have an out building to the north of the ballroom they recently put in. It is a small round building. Probably look like a genital WART.

The arch: is that the top half of a directional loop or a large electromagnet to slow cars leaving the city?

It's an electromagnet alright, a mass driver. Hey, I just noticed something and wonder if you noticed it too. Compare the pictures of the Christian Science Church... hmmm.

Mass driver? I thought that had something to do with the Pope's chauffeur.

Went to the KFC in Dixon and saw a picture on the wall of the bridge collapse. Saw this article on the collapse.

After the parade was completed and had returned to base of the bridge, it was tested under the weight of four teams loaded with stones, a team loaded with flour and all the pedestrians who could be gathered on the bridge. It was thought the entire weight on the bridge was at least 45 tons...

...the bridge tender pushed his way onto the walkway. He warned the crowd not to lean on the railing and ordered several boys down from the truss work.

5 years took its toll.
