Anyone ever hear of, or better yet use, an online tutorial site called LYNDA.COM?

We have a project about to go "live" that will be doing some data analysis & reporting, and it's going to be SQL based. So, since I've been tapped to manage it (and write reports for in in SAP Business Objects, aka Crystal Reports), I have to pick up some basic SQL knowledge, and then some SQL Server as well.

The site was recommended to me, and the price is more than reasonable ($25 per month with unlimited access, and there's a 30 day free trial available). So I'm just curious as to whether this is a real bargain, or a waste of time.

...just for contrast, and I know there's plenty of sites out there, an outfit called Knowledgenet.com wants us to buy an annual "Everything IT Access Pass" for $1490 per year (regularly $3790). So far, the sales rep hasn't exactly impressed me, as his answer to any of my questions (on the phone) was "it's all on the web site!" That, and the "special" price, that he sent me this morning, is only good until... wait for it... 09/30/2014.

Since I can read a calendar, let's just say that his special offer didn't exactly bowl me over...

This is the second time I've heard about Lynda in the past couple of days... Phoenix Online Uni gifts you an unlimited pass during your school term. Beyond that, I don't know much about this.
