Hello All!

I have been busy making my first program (And learning Visual Studio 2013). I decided to make a free program for ham's, and this one happens to be for ARES/RACES/EOC.

The basic functions of this program is to save the info you put in (No, you don't have to click any save buttons, just type and go). The purpose of this program is to save time when there is a drill or emergency, an that all the info you need is at your finger tips.

The only requirements the program has is a 1920x1080 resolution monitor, which mostly everyone has. Also, Windows only, I will be contacting some people i know in the Apple field to get it Max OSx compatible.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/lazxf6uhdb546vc/Ham%20Radio%20Informational%20Program.exe?dl=0

I tried to upload it on here, but it wouldn't allow me.

Please reply if you like it, any suggestions you have that I can add to the program, and if you think it should be left free or a small price tag put on it (Of say $4.99)

Thanks!

I would rethink your UI.

You think most people have a 1920x1080 monitor. Few, however, in the intended use case do. Try using this app on a tablet, or a netbook... Or, look at the screen sizes for low-powered portable devices.

Agreed. If I were to use this software in an emergency situation, I'd likely use it on my laptop. My laptop, however, has a native resolution of 1440 x 900.

The natives look good in any resolution. That reminds me, I need to renew my NatGeo subscription.

I'll also echo making it compatible with laptop screens.

Although at home I do run an external screen with my laptop, most emcomm guys are running older laptops. They don't want to commit the shiny new one to the field.

Haha ^

I also posted this on a large Facebook Group and got a group of about 3 people in to express their ideas on how to better it.

I would like to announce that it is now compatible on mostly any screen!
