I wonder what position Princess Kate will be playing.

I conked out last night right after Oakland scored in the top of the 12th.

Nice going, Royals. Now, can you get past the Baltimore Brownies?

Catcher, apparently.Only if she's really Today.

Maybe she's the Right Fielder? Nah, couldn't be, she's not Nobody.

I heard on NPR that the KC police were tweeting for people to stay out of trouble so everybody could watch the game.

Was rooting for the Royals and the Pirates. Oh, well, one out of two ain't bad...* sigh *

Little Miss Field Day left the park in tears last night. When the Pirates gave up that grand slam, it was like someone had thrown a switch... the place went from loud and boisterous (and concerned & anxious) to near dead-silent, the moment that ball landed in the stands. From our seats, I has a clear view of that ball landing.

Nutz.

Well, they had a good year, they fought through to the end. This can happen to any team at any time when the opposing pitcher is in the zone. The Pirates best starting pitcher didn't pitch -- he was used on Sunday, when they were still trying to win the Division and avoid the Wild Card. They came up short on Sunday, but not due to the starter (the bullpen gave up the lead & the game. Again.).

Now we can root for our son's employer with a clear conscience. Go Nats.

Tough loss, Ron. As I said in another thread, the way Bumgarner was pitching, I don't think any team could have beat the Giants last night.

Yah that sucks. But I do remember mentioning something about the Bucs in the offseason back in the spring. They did better than both of the teams here (and I knew that which is why I switched to the Dodgers on 1/1/14*). It might be one game but that counts for something. Now to see if they can learn and bolster up the bullpen in the offseason... Next year beckons.

*Note to Yanks. A-Rod is 39 or so. Get some new blood, work on the farm system and rebuild or it's gonna get uglier. People aren't lined up to play for you. Go get 'em tiger.
