Tim Allen doesn't just play a ham on TV, he's one for real! He was licensed as KK6OTD September 4th (under his real name, not his stage name)
How about that?

Tim Allen Dick. I wonder why he changed it?
By the way, the address he used for the FCC is a largish warehouse in North Hollywood that houses several business of which he's head honcho.

They come "barefoot" at 400 W PEP output. You know, of course, what THAT means...

You forgot the grunts.
I think this is great. It appears that others that work on the show have taken an interest as well.

I bet he could get quite a pileup if he gets on the air. Hopefully he will get his General so he can get down on the REAL BANDS!
You forgot the grunts. Do we have a smiley for grunts? I didn't see one.

I wonder if he was part of the K6H special event station last Sunday? (And now I wish I'd heard them during the small amount of time I was in the shack on Sunday)

I doubt he has a real interest in it. it'll be a fad for a few months then when people lose interest in it, his interest will just fade away. Nice to get the Hollywood promotion for ham radio but it's a hollow one IMHO

I looked for them and heard the pileups but they were too close to work on 20M. Wish they had gone to 40M, I could have nailed them. Even 2M would have worked. So doubt many CA stations are in the log!

I tuned for them myself and found nothing as well. Probably too close.
I did hear the pile of people trying though, and I don't think they were working split.

Oh, I dunno if he'd lose interest. He has an issue with MOAR POWER!
