Holy Frijole! Chad, you're 41? I'm older than I thought.

Have another brewski, Bill.

Both of you come around more often. HBD.

Nice try, Gerry, but y'all is singular. What you meant to say was this:

Happy birthday all y'all!

My mistake........ you can't put 'merican in a Canadian ...... I was going to say "you can't put Yankee in a Canadian" but even that has a different meaning there than over here..... apologies

There's probably four or more ways to look at "Yankee." My favorite is "The Yankees" (http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=nyy):

Sure you can. It's like putting a round peg in a square hole. You can put something into anything, if you beat on it hard enough, and long enough. :stickpoke:

Actually "Y'all" is a small like minded group. Such as, "I'm going with Y'all to stump break some cows".

And "All Y'all" is a larger more diverse group. Such as, "All Y'all come on let's go stump break some cows".

You got confused with the more personal greetings of "You-uns and Yee-uns". Such as, "I heared Yee-uns went out and stump broke some cows last night and I also heared You-uns was the first".

It's easy to get the nomenclature confused.
