A new study explains it all.

[...] research has shown that [...] women are more likely to wear a red shirt when they are expecting to meet an attractive man, relative to an unattractive man or a woman.

Also, men (and other women) are more likely to perceive a woman in red as sexually receptive. Full article here. (http://www.sciencenewsline.com/articles/2014071116550028.html)

This reminds me of an old joke.

What's the difference between a hooker, a lover, and a spouse?

The hooker says "faster, faster, honey, faster!"
The lover says "go slow, love, take your time, enjoy it!"
The spouse says "Beige. I think we'll paint the ceiling beige."

Ever since Polly Hamilton wore an orange dress that appeared red under the lights of the Biograph Theatre in Chicago where John Dillinger was killed by federal agent Charles Winstead "the lady in red" has been considered a dangerous woman. Now it seems this "study" considers her hot as a pistol. Hmmm... it seems to be some sort of connection.

Trouble ahead
The Lady in Red
Take my advice
you be better off dead...

Trouble with you is
The trouble with me
Got two good eyes
but we still don't see
Come round the bend
You know it's the end
The fireman screams and
The engine just gleams

You don't need a study to tell you that drivin' that train high on cocaine is a bad idea... and hanging around with a lady in red isn't very smart either.
