Seriously.

I called the local guy today to see how much a trailer brake controller with installation was, and he said it was $150.

After doing a search online, I found this video which shows me how to install a $140 superior brake controller with two clicks and a screwdriver.

It really is pretty simple, especially if you have one of the vehicles that have the harness wired for it already.

Good deal, make sure the one you purchase is a proportional or motion based controller, not a time based controller. Time based controllers do nothing to sense actual deceleration, they just gradually apply power up to the maximum set by the knob on them. Proportional controllers actually sense how your are braking and adjust the power output to the trailer brakes to match.

Well, I'd have to have a real truck first.

I've possessed a class B before, with tanker and passenger endorsements. Used to haul 5000 gallons of jet fuel to helicopter bases in Louisiana when I worked for Air Logistics (Bristow).

IIRC, Bell 47s use gasoline...not Jet A.

But Cowthief uses Arco regular unleaded.

You sure that wasn't two Hicks and a screw driver? I looked all over my tool box, I gotta screw driver, but not a single click.
