Here is a question posed by a young person about HR. I found it on ASK.COM
Is broadcasting music on a HAM radio illegal?

Question pretty much speaks for itself.
I'm aware I need a license to operate an amateur radio, and would be willing to get one. I also realize the equipment can be expensive.
I'd like to just start a radio broadcast for fun. Obviously no swearing or messing around.
I'd like to play music from very old vinyls and such, basically these songs have no copyright, I've checked and looked into it.
So are there people who have little talk shows on HAM radios? Would I be able to play some extremely old music and make everyone feel like they're living in the 1930s? Or is this a very bad idea?

Although a ham radio does broadcast in all directions, hams generally do not use their radios in a broadcast kind of way as a disk jockey would at a radio station. In normal AM or FM radio, one disk jockey transmits and thousands of people listen. Hams, on the other hand, conduct two-way conversations, often with another ham or with a group of hams in an informal roundtable. It might be a bad idea
I hardly disagree with the answer. But, would ask, what could possibly be wrong with it assuming you had a limited group and maybe wanted to exchange your music. Yes, I know MP3 on web faster, and so on. But there is SKYPE too and isn't that far more advanced to ragging than anything on HR? Also after reading FCC CFR concerning basis and purpose of HR, not one of the purposes do most, 99.99 percent of hams meet. Them simply run off at mouth about trivia better put on a cell phone or SKYPE:clap:
