Looks like they are trying to catch some of the clowns up there. They got this guy who was trying to get "cowboy" to ID, who in the process did not ID for over 20 minutes.

ID First, often and last folks, so you don't catch a fine!

Yeppir, count me in. I just hope they do it quickly as I don't have a whole lot of time left.

I think we're seeing a transition where Mr.Kooky has become less of an attraction on that frequency and your FCC has finally started to take care of business in a more official way..... :omg:

I heard somebody playing the instrumental song "Popcorn" the other day.

Funny, that.

Islanders or Gangstas, either way it'll be the Institute Of Mental Health Net... Lumpy Gravy Phase 2, or in the very words of Frank Zappa "I've existed for years but very little has changed... I'm the slime oozin' out of your radio set. (Don't go for help, no one will heed you.)"

I don't generally go up beyond 40 m. But there is AM activity from 160 to at least 2 meters. Not sure where most of the AM activity is on 20 or 15 meters but its there. I used to hear a lot of AM on 10 meters around 29.000 mc during band openings.

And when there's a good opening on 6 that lasts long enough for the tubes to warm up they dig out the boat anchors and put some sweet Angel Music on the air. Unfortunately the AM net we put together on 2 with our dusty old Gonsets back in 2000 fell apart in a few months. Since then I only got one SSB op to switch to AM briefly, when I asked why he switched back he said he doesn't like AM. (?)

Anyhoo, maybe if a few Gangstas put WA1 Henry Yell AAARRR's infamous SBE driving my favorite amp (kittehs not included) on 20 you'll give the Kooky Karol Klan and various Klavens something WORTH komplaining about... MUAHAHAHAHAAAaaaaaa. Oh it's not the Society of Broadcast Engineers, look it up.
