anyone else running the new Linux Mint 17 ???

the same kernel as Ubuntu 14.04 and is also a LTS release....:clap:

seems to use much less system resources than Ubuntu 14.04...:yes:

loving it so far....:cool2:

im just using Ubuntu 14.04...its not to bad but im having issues running a java program i was running fine on previous version :( Kind of mad they got rid of Ubuntu One because i was actually using the service...

Yeah, so was I. I suspect it was quite popular, and not enough folks were buying additional space beyond the 2GB free limit. I archived all of my files (had > 100 man pages converted to pdf) and purged Ubuntu One from all 3 of my 12.04.4 LTS installations.

Also, I'm weary of broken packages from the endless stream of upgrades, so I think I'll just stay with 12.04 until they drop support in 2017. I do check out the 'bleeding edge' versions in a virtual machine and just haven't seen anything to encourage me to upgrade my host OS, but I haven't yet looked at Linux Mint 17.

I be using Fedora 20........ LTS... well long term support for a fedora release..

iirc Mint got rid of the lxde spin they had awhile back.. plus mint is all DVD now... all I got is a cdrw..

I don't recall the last time I've burned a CDR. Or, even a DVDR.

I don't have a thumb drive. costs money. more then I can spend..

na its ok. times are just tough here. lots of things going on I don't want to get into.
