Yeah, saving Penny's ass. You can possess a penny, but what can a penny possess? Anyway, Judy (Marta Christen) was a whole lot cuter, but look at Maj. Don West (Mark Goddard) on the left. He has his arm around Penny, but his other hand is on the robot. In one episode he was arrested by a space cop for child molestation but the scene was deleted.

Back to the Flex, that's one honey of a rig, but it damn well better be at THAT price! Now what's up with having to use 3rd party software for RATTY? An interesting note, some years ago I knew a ham who was a Kachina dealer who naturally had one in his shack in Boonton, NJ and operated it via the internet (it was made for that) from his office. That got me thinking, with remote help desk server software in the control computer it could be operated password and user ID number protected remotely by client software in any other computer, additional security provided when the server software isn't running. For ego maniacal SOBs like myself you could set up a remote base in Timbuktu and have a QSO with yourself... hmmm.

For $2500, I'd go for a K3 instead. It's got all the advantages of an SDR because it is an SDR, but with an analog UI. I spend enough time staring at a LCD screen as it is.
