That's what she looks like right now.

A gray kitty with faint orange and white stripes.
She's a stray we "took in" last November.
Because our 700 sq ft living area is rather cluttered,
and I seem to be allergic to cat dander,
she's strictly an "outdoor kitty"--staying in our tool shed.

I ran an extension cord out there and provided a heater for the chilly nights.
Yesterday, I lined a cardboard box with newspaper and an old flannel shirt,
and put it in there. She's been nesting in off and on it ever since.

I've been searching the web for advice. One site says she should be wormed.
Another warns against worming as pregnant cat. Any advice will be appreciated.

Have you started a petition for cats swallowing volleyballs? :p

By a friendly suggestion or two (read popular demand)
I've been persuaded to to curtail the petition posting.

(But then again, I may need to relent, and circulate one
to initiate an island ban on torches and pitchforks.)

We mostly call her "Gray Kitty," but her real name is Loraine.
She just gave birth to her five kitties some time this morning.
Mama and babies doing fine. We're installing a kittycam above her box.

No, but our cat has started a petition to save the wild Alaskan salmon.

Lol, well can't say you are not passionate about stuff, dunno what good petitions do, now fork over some dough and every politician will be your best friend.

Hope the kitties are doing well.

We had an overnight low in the high 30's, but a 90 watt foot warmer pad
under their box kept them nice and toasty. Mama and kitties are doing fine.

I had to enlarge the notch at the bottom of the toolshed door
to accommodate her volleyball, so now I'd better narrow it
again to keep any uninvited guests out.

I had been posting petitions as a way of alerting folks to the latest sh*t going down.
With notable exceptions (petition to Obama against cuts in Social Security),
the effectiveness of actually signing them is open to question. It will definitely
get you lots of appeals for financial support (in my case to no avail).

As for the Alaskan salmon: IMHO, the appropriate petition would be
to demand that the FDA inspect them all using a Geiger counter.

Our overnight low here was 33 F, but Mama and kitties did fine.

The electric heating pad under their box kept them nice and warm.

We switched Loraine to Purina Kitten Chow for the obvious reason.
