View Full Version : New Ride
Been shopping for a car for a while. Did many, many test drives.
We decided to pull the trigger on this one. The deal was too good to pass up.
New 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited. The only option we didn't get was the Panorama moon roof.
I'm actually having to read the manual. This thing has navigation, all kinds of radio choices and other stuff.

Did California still have front tags when you left? Front tags are unusual to me.
Good that you didn't get the moon roof. If you did, you wouldn't be able to drill the hole for the VHF/UHF antenna right in the middle.

"I'm actually having to read the manual."
I always say if all else fails read the instructions. I see you're way ahead of me on that. Whatever happened to simplicity? Whatever happened to engineers who understood that KISS is more than a rock band? Now if you don't study up on all these newfangled widgets you're in deep shit up to your eyeballs!
Very nice ride, Jan - it reminds me a great deal of my '09 Legacy. I picked that one up used in November and while it has the sport suspension and engine package, the dash is rather utilitarian. Thus, I'll be upgrading the instruments and installing a nav system.
Are you planning to put any radio gear in it?

I'm j-j-j-jealOUS! That's a very livable hybrid.
Albi had the high powered Sonata and he loved it.

But what about the REST of the car? OK, I like it, even if I have to go to college to learn how to drive it.
Janet....
Same car my parentals have, except theirs is a 2012. So far, so good so far.

California still has the front plate law that only seems to be enforced when they need probable cause for pulling you over. Same thing here.
I think the car would look better without the front plate.

This is Sarah's car, so that would be a big fat NO.
I can drill the shit out of the other two, but this one is off limits.

This thing corners well. I'm sure YOU could give it a good test! (Where's the "oh shit" handle?)

Did you check out the Hyundai Genesis?
.
Did you check out the Hyundai Genesis?
Yeah, right before she checked out the Hyundai Exodus.
Yeah, right before she checked out the Hyundai Exodus.
I'm sure that she searched in a Leviticus fashion and did her Deuteronomy and test drove Numbers before she decided.
I picked the Accent.
