So, I'm home reading the morning paper last night... the new delivery person doesn't deliver it until after I leave for work in the morning, a real PITA, but that's another story... and when I come to the business section, I see the latest "career advice" column from someone named Andrea Kay.

Now, normally I don't pay much attention to her column, but it was noted that this is her last one. So I skimmed it real quick.

And then my jaw dropped.

See for yourself: http://triblive.com/business/andreakay/5674735-74/column-advice-kay#axzz2vCV2Aa8i

Note the column where she starts off about being "excited and nervous". The person she then goes on to talk about? That's Mike K3AIR.

I haven't figured out yet how to razz him over this. Any suggestions?

Razz him for being an attorney? That seems like it is too easy. Like W4PG.

Let me say one last time that it's never too late to find your unmistakable voice.
To learn about yourself, continue to express yourself through work and develop
into who you are or are becoming as you and the world change.

That requires messy and necessary introspection, imagination, patience,
input from smart people, facing your fears, hard work, a reasonable timeline
and the willingness to set a goal and stick with it.

One thing that will help you through this is this snippet of advice
I share in talks I give. It's the advice that will never let you down.

It's from a character in the movie “The Road to Wellness” in which he says:
“Follow your heart. It's the one organ that will surely let you down one day.
So don't waste it while you're living.”

Finally, to answer the question I have heard a thousand times,
“What should I do with my life?” I say this: Build upon those gifts
you have been graced with. So when the time comes and you look back and ask,
“What have I done with my days?” you can say, “Everything I wanted.”

Actually, I was Mike's first client. And he let me pay for his advice with a couple of grilled burgers... now that he works for a firm, I don't think he'll be that cheap anymore.
