FCC Stings KD5OZY for $7000

The FCC adopted & released today a Notice of Apparent Liability For Forfeiture to the tune of $7000, against James R. Winstead KD5OZY, Coleman, TX. This is response to complaints of his causing intentional interference on 7195 kHz.

"Willfull violation" of 97.101(d), and he admitted to it when the FCC agent investigated.

What a fool. I guess he figured he wouldn't get caught ? He got caught red handed and he had to admit it. he couldn't even lie his way out of it. So now the tool is out $7000.00 for his arrogance and stupidity. In any event it's good that the FCC is on the job.

For the $7000 fine he has to pay he could have bought himself a brand new state of the art radio.
