PETA is nuts. I guess PETA must be furious with the lion, tiger, wolf, alligator, and other animal communities that kill and eat flesh. Perhaps I can form a group called PETP... People For The Ethical Treatment Of Plants... Down with vegans killing innocent plants for food and, in the case of raw vegetables, eating the poor things alive. eat tasty animals instead !! I want a memorial for all the corn plants that have been ruthlessly uprooted and eaten.

What about all that innocent "Ditch Weed" that is plucked and stuffed into bongs every day in Indiana?

PUTA strikes uh, stinks again.

"This tribute will let residents of the 'Poultry Capital of the World' know that the best way to prevent tragedies such as this one is to go vegan,"

It's the poultry capitol of the world because People Eating Tasty Animals like chicken and hate the religion of others being forced over on them. We don't beat THEM over the head with dead chickens!

Yep, but it makes them look heroic to the religious and anti-weed folk.

PETA better drop the bong. Why, where would Sail-Cat be without trucks?

Lots of chicken houses in these parts, some of whose length
likely requires compensation for the curvature of the earth.
Inside, wall-to-wall chickens--living, eating, shitting.
So close to each other, they need to be heavily dosed
with antibiotics to keep them healthy and growing.
With lights on 24/7 for less sleeping and more eating.

Northwest Arkansas also claims to be the "poultry capital."
Big time producers like Tyson, Cargill, George's.

One thing I have always found hypocritical about PETA is that it seems they only care about cute furry or feathered animals. What about the ethical treatment of reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, shellfish, and fish ? And insects ?? How many insects are killed every year ? They even have businesses that are in the business of murdering roaches, water bugs, mosquitoes, flies, ants, termites, stinkbugs and other cute little insects ? Or are all these critters to chitinous, scaly, fleshy, slippery leathery , etc. to fall under the protective arms of PETA.

I thought the age old question was "Ginger or Mary Anne" ? You mean there is an older question that goes back even further ?

At the co~op house I was living at in Madison,
we were having dinner outdoors.

Prior to sitting down, swatter in hand,
I was dispatching the all too numerous flies.
A person of the female persuasion asks,
"Have you ever thought about the life of an insect?
My reply: "Lady, have you ever had crabs?"

While some people might think chicken is a "healthier" meat,
the truth about how most chicken is raised and processed
by the huge corporations might surprise even the most ardent meat-eater.
And right now, President Obama and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack
are considering a proposal that could make chicken even less safe!

At least those religious anti weed folk realize how useless it is beating me over the head with a marihuana plant, I'd smoke it.

Where would Sail Cat be without trucks? As the avatar for IRFanview.

Cockroaches, some people call them pets. Others wear pointy toed cockroach stompers so they can get them in the corners. There are various insect delicacies from around the world, some candy coated. Bug killers, particularly those from the Far East would raise protest of their own. It creates confusion even for PUTA.

Going back to the question of Ginger or Mary Ann, both at least WERE edible.

Yeah, chicken factories. I just haven't figured out what Eggland does with the chickens or Perdue does with the eggs.

Oh and by the way, insects are cute but som aren't so little.

Mealworm French Fries
Ingredients:

4 U.S. grade No. 1 fresh potatoes (Idaho potatoes)
2 dozen mealworms – boiled but not roasted
1 cup chopped scallions
½ teaspoon smoked salt

Directions:Cut and slice potatoes into preferred style, i.e. shoestring, etc. Keep the skin on to enhance the homemade appearance and flavor. If you prefer to peel your potatoes, please keep in mind that fries made from peeled potatoes should be chilled after cutting in cold water for 10 minutes to 30 minutes before frying, to ensure maximum crispiness and to prevent them from sticking together while frying.
Deep fry potatoes, mealworms and scallions together for 3 minutes in proper temperature oil. The oil is the proper temperature when the fries don’t sink when dropped in and bubbles remain on top of the oil. Always use clean oil to fry potatoes.Tips: A little known chef’s secret to prevent the potatoes from darkening is to add citrus acid or vinegar to the water solution. Also in order to avoid water spattering and to reduce fat absorption spin dry potatoes as much as possible before frying. In order to get really crispy and tasty fries, fry them twice

Have you ever tried eating insects ? Some of them make for good eating... And, in a severe survivalist situation, say your plane goes down in some exttremely remote wilderness area and you have to survive on your own for a couple weeks, insects and worms can be a valuable food source. Plenty of protein and nutrients to keep you going. Take a tip from reptiles and birds. They can teach you how to survive.

P.S. You can also eat reptiles and birds... Just be careful catching those crocodiles.

No, and I'm not going to! I have no intention of doing anything that would put me in a survival situation either. Now what?

OK, worm eaters may want to trade recipes to make better worm fritters BUT that's where I draw the line. Far too much money is wasted on environmental "studies" (code for fudged figures) as it is but this Environmental Impact of the Production of Mealworms is just TOO MUCH! Only an asshole with bleeding ulcerated hemorrhoids would give a painful shit about worms' production of "greenhouse gasses" or in simple, understandable terms: WORM FARTS!

Well COR, that should make your job, the job of preserving just a wee bit of sanity I beg of you to perform easier. You have the firepower if scaring the shit out of them won't shut them up, easier because only two agree with such outrageous bullshit. Hopefully you agree we must kill it before it spreads and I thank you in advance for doing your part to preserve what's left of sanity in a world gone mad.
