Our groundhog is having a ball + 8 C sunny and no wind, feeling springtime, no winter in sight too, going up to 11 C next week.
Good too, i have a business fair to do, so from thursday to next week friday i'm doing worky worky, and roundtrip travel 100 miles, so no need for snow or icy roads.
Had that once after the fair driving back with van and trailer, not funny....snow and icy roads, skidding home all the way..

Staten Island Chuck went hungry this year without Bloomberg to chomp on...

The new guy wasn't taking any chances as you can see...

Chuck didn't bite the new mayor, but he wasn't doling out his forecast without exacting at least a little payment.

As de Blasio slowly began to hold up the furball for a photo-op, he never quite got a grip.

Seeing an opportunity in the de Blasio's butterfingers, Chuck leaped the impressive distance between the 6-foot-5 mayor's waist all the way to the ground.

He landed within his pen, luckily, and the fast reactions of his Staten Island Zoo caregiver kept him from infiltrating the crowd.

Both Chuck and Phil (you know, that poser in Penna.) say 6 more weeks of winter an early spring. He was right in 2011. A week or so after Groundhog Day, we got to 40-60 and stayed there most of the spring.

If a groundhog in Pennsylvania is a poser, is one in Canada a hoser?

Wiarton Willie a hoser? not a chance ......he saw his shadow yesterday and predicted 6 more weeks of winter....mind you that will only apply to the eastern provinces.....because the rallying cry in the 70's and 80's was.... "let those eastern bastards freeze!" 8)

If you dang Canadians were as full of "Hot Air", like most of us Amuricans, we would have been in the middle of Spring by now. But Nooo, you gotta keep sending us the "Polar Vortex"!

Willie is a nice groundhog and accurate as well.....it's not our artic air to give away but you have to admit Canada could control a pretty impressive weapon....."BLAME CANADA" paranoia will destroya

And Carl still won't admit his desire to be an honourary Canadian ;)

Could you send some of those D9s down here to Jersey? With all the snow we've been getting we need them to push it back to Canada.

If Willy is so accurate I can arrange a job opening at the NWS forecast office in Philadelphia, it's always sunny in Philadelphia. (If you have a BMF TV antenna pointed at Washington you can watch the show.) Nobody owns the air but the Australian government taxes it (CO2) and Canada refrigerates it. If you think you have a powerful weapon you haven't met Sheilah Broflovski! Yes, there IS a South Park, Colorado railroad and all.

"paranoia will destroya" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSbSueq_KSY

"Sarcasm is a Body's Natural Defense Against Stupid" Never underestimate my intelligence even if you don't understand my sarcasm.

I used to hear the Kinks with that song playing on the radio constantly years ago. Now,not so much.....the lyrics kept going round and round in my head.....
