According to the AccuWeather website, aurora are favorable to be visible in the period from tonight (Wednesday night) to tomorrow night in the Northern parts of the US.

They should be visible as far south as Northern California, N. Utah and Nevada in the West, in the East as far south as Northern Virginia, N. Maryland and nearly all of Illinois, New York and New Jersey.

Nice for Auroral Scatter Propagation.

Not too worried about it. When i move up to the Yukon I'll be seeing plenty of spectacular aurora's regularly. It will more than make up for all the ones I missed living down here.

Just like the once in a lifetime meteor showers, every time, it doesn't matter.

One good thing about this cold. It's as clear as I've ever seen it. No light show though.

Boy, that's the damn truth. But then, that does put us in a class of our own.

Please, no comments about class from the peanut gallery, who shall remain nameless, BOB.

WTF did I do? I'm sitting here minding my own business. I don't care if you have a dehumanizing vehicle, everyone has their skeletons. Not too many of us feel that way.

Holy shit, you can see the skeleton in the back? I thought it was covered up a little better than that.

No Clouds, no aurora, which seems to happen. The only aurora that comes here is when there is cloud cover or rain.

The only time I've seen aurora was from grandma's porch in IGY 1957, International Geophysical Year which had scientists quite busy. They don't call 6M the magic band for nothing, on it I've worked just about every propagation mode, meteor scatter, aurora, F2, et al. Aurora is fascinating, SSB signals are a bit weak and fluttery, but just shoot due north and one can receive stations from all directions including behind the beam to the south.

Oh, you don't need long eyes to see the Southern Aurora from here.

Nope, the Aurora used a version of the Cadillac Northstar engine .
It was the Pontiac Bonneville that had a supercharger option.

The Aurora was a bit $pendy, but handled OK for a freakin' tank.
I enjoyed driving them as a rental car a few times.

Well, you could put cherry bombs on it and have an Aurorer.
