We still miss you, Albi. And we always will. Hope you're having a ball up there.

That is hard to believe it has been two years already. I think he is having fun still reading these threads. Sometimes I think I can feel a ghostly whack on the back of the head when I write stuff I know he doesn't like.

He had/has still his large influence on all of us here.
As long we remind him for the man he was he is still here with us.

R.I.P. Albi...

There are several - Albi being prominent among them - who left this place a poorer venue upon their departures.

RIP, all my friends.

I often think of Albi, Russ and the other SKs from here. Every now and then I run across one of their posts, and am reminded how much they are missed.

Yeah, hard to believe it's been "only" 2 years. Sometimes it seems like yesterday.

I hope to not piss anyone off by asking this, but who is Albi?

I obviously haven't been here very long and have missed who Albi is..
A search on here came up with this.

AB1GA I'm assuming? Just searching for Albi comes up with a lot of mentions and a sig line that says something along the lines of "RIP Albi".. Just curious is all :)

You won't piss anyone off. Albi a.k.a W3MIV Albert Schramm. I didn't know him that well myself, but he was a wordsmith. You ran to the dictionary more times than you ran to get another beer or to the bathroom.

Conveniently, I have a dictionary in the bathroom.

My second look at this statement does actually present the practicality of having a dictionary here.......

Look up "SKATOLE", next time you go.

For those of you lacking a dictionary in your bathroom

I need a clothespin (http://ilovebacteria.com/skatole.htm)

Ah I see now, as you can tell a search on here wasn't too fruitful lol

Thanks for clearing that up :)

I see no reason not to have cold beer there, as well.

There's an app for that!
Yes, Albi's wry wit, and impeccable command of the English language is missed. But we can all rest assured that he is working all the DX we missed out on, and has hot and cold running single malt :werd:

We miss you, Albi.

Saves walking distance, definitely.
