View Full Version : Well, I Guess It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time...
Ever hear of a guy named Randy Liedtke?
He's had some interesting posts on Twitter lately...
Starting with this:

Ok, cute, funny, haha, right?
Well, it ended with this:
11195
Now, if you're wondering what got him that piece of paper he's holding, according to his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/randyliedtke)... a cop saw his little, ah, bit of performance art (cooking IS an art), pulled him over, got pretty annoyed over the cookies... and the cop discovered that this schnook had an outstanding warrant for unpaid parking tickets, and took him in.
This is definitely a case where someone who Tweets on Twitter can be known as a Twit.

Reminds me of the bunch of vandals who took a video of themselves entering a local school and vandalizing up a classroom. They busted the crap out of anything the got their hands on and then posted it up on you tube to show off to theior friends how "cool" they are. Well, turns out that the cops also enjoy watching YouTube and saw this video and saw that it was right in their town and rounded up the little idiots. They did the crime them provided the cops with the evidence.
Well, the "iPhone" cookies were inspired, I'll grant him that.
Still, you're taking chances when you tease the cops like that. Most cops (at least while on duty) don't have much of a sense of humor.
And if they've already got a reason to keep you near & dear to them, like an outstanding warrant, when they fall for your little stunt...

It has been my experience that at least 50% of them don't have a sense of humor off duty either. That seems to ring true not only back home but here as well.

Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles when you have an outstanding warrant. You might say the prank was unwarranted, but he was.

.....................;)
I dont really know him, but hes on my friends list. Just a struggling comedian trying to earn a few bucks as of a couple of days ago, thats changed now. He pops up and says "Im gonna do it this time with the iPhone cookies thing"...then had a handful of updates as he passed cops, they didnt notice, etc...then he got pulled over, snapping shots the whole time.
When the cop got to his window, he took a bite of his phone. The cop was irritated and confused and told him he would be back then went to his car. Randy said 'stand by'. I said "This beatdown is going to hurt!". After a few more posts, he put up one last post outside the police station saying it was a dumb idea and totally not worth it, which you have obviously heard by now.
Considering it got him national coverage, i disagree. Sometimes, its the dumbest of the dumbshit ideas that jump starts your career. Honestly, he is lucky he didnt get the shit totally beaten out of him by the LAPD. They hate being made a fool of.
By the way, he got a ticket after that...then another one.

For those of us, yes, there are a few left, that don't do social networking, what were the citations for. I assume one was for failure to appear or respond to the outstanding warrant, and the other was for........................................?
Correct. I didnt think it was smart. It worked for what he does, but i dont think he will be doing that again.
