I can die in total happiness now. My 80 something y/o aunt made me a pan full of her home made Oyster dressing. It is better than I remember. I just ate 2 pie piece saucers of it. Her miracle mix of breading, onions, celery, giblets, giblet juice, oysters, etc just cannot be replicated by anyone else. My Mom could not make it at her level. It does not get better than this. Your stuffing/dressing fetish replies are appreciated.

I hate to admit it, but I finished off that pan this morning. Looks like a store trip to get the required ingredients to make a pan here.

My wife made plenty this year. She got the recipe from my mother. Her mother used to make frankly awful stuffing, so she was happy to get a new recipe. It starts with good bread and cornbread.

One of the best stuffing recipes I ever tasted...

Cornbread, smelt (like grunion), onions, acorns, and wild rice.

Stuffed in a wild goose. Wowsers.

I gave my wife a wild goose for her birthday, but I don't think she like it because she beat the stuffing out of me.

Better than a Spruce Goose or Galloping Goose.

Who wouldn't like a nice roast wild goose for the holidays ? It is a holiday tradition.

Likely not, as the delivery was "fresh".
